It was decided that the lateral and vertical extent of the <br /> contamination in the soil and groundwater has not been defined. The monitoring <br /> well boring logs indicate clay soil at 40 feet bsg. The extent of this clay layer <br /> should be determined. Water samples must be collected from the next water <br /> bearing zone. A work plan to investigate the lateral and vertical extent of soil and <br /> groundwater contamination in all directions at this site must be submitted to <br /> PHS/EHD by April 15, 2001.
