Weber Street, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> it <br /> Subject: Workplan for Groundwater Extraction Testing at N&S Irrigation, 215 West Main <br /> Street, Ripon, California <br /> i <br /> Dear Ms. Setliff: <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> I <br /> ATC Associates Inc. has prepared this workplan to implement a feasibility study and to continue <br /> the groundwater investigation at the above referenced site (Figure 1). <br /> This workplan has been prepared on behalf of N&S Irrigation as required by Ms. Rebecca Setliff <br /> of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) in <br /> correspondence dated February 8, 2002. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Site Location <br /> The site is located on the north side of West Main Street and the east side of Locust Avenue, <br /> Ripon, California, as shown on Figure 1. The location is a residential and commercial area. The <br /> site is currently occupied by N&S Irrigation. <br /> Previous Work <br /> In March 1990 one 1 500- allon unleaded gasoline underground storage tank ST one <br />. g g g g (UST), <br /> unleaded gasoline UST of unknown size, and all associated piping and dispensing equipment were <br /> removed and transported off-site. Laboratory analysis of soil samples collected from beneath the <br /> former 1,500-gallon UST location indicated the presence of detectable concentrations of total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons. Discoloration of the soil and.a petroleum hydrocarbon odor were noted <br /> in the field.
