BIDDING REQUIREMENTS <br /> . Prospective consultants must be agreeable to or meet the following <br /> specifications: <br /> 1. The consultant must have acceptable experience conducting <br /> underground storage tank corrective action work in California. A <br /> statement of qualifications must accompany any bid submitted. <br /> 2 . The consultant must employ qualified persons to perform the work <br /> described above, including licensed engineers, geologists, civil <br /> engineers, or geotechnical engineers, and possess all necessary <br /> licenses to operate within the State of California and the <br /> jurisdiction of San Joaquin County. A list of qualified persons who <br /> will perform the work must accompany any bid submitted. <br /> 3 . The consultant must carry out the described work in a timely, <br /> professional, safe and legal manner and maintain necessary records <br /> and other safeguards to ensure that reported sample results are <br /> accurate. All work must be performed in a manner acceptable to the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD) and the <br /> State of California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central <br /> Valley Office (RWQCB) . <br /> 4 . The consultant must provide at least 3 references of previous <br /> clients for whom the consultant has performed similar work within <br /> the past 3 years. <br /> 5. The consultant must maintain general liability insurance in the <br /> amount of $ 1, 000, 000 and professional errors and omissions <br /> liability insurance in the amount of $ 1, 000, 000 for the life of the <br /> pro3ect. Workers Comp insurance must be maintained in the statutory <br /> amount and meet all the requirements of the State of California. <br /> West Clay Properties will not be responsible for the cost of any <br /> premiums and Consultants insurance will remain primary. Consultant <br /> shall be responsible for any third party claims related to the <br /> execution of work described herein. Consultant must provide the <br /> endorsement naming West Clay Properties as additional insured. <br /> Consultant will indemnify and Hold Harmless West Clay Properties, <br /> its owners, employees and other contractors from any and all claims <br /> that result from the work performed by the Consultant, its agents, <br /> and employees. <br /> 6 . Work shall be performed in a manner which will not require the <br /> cessation of business at the site unless absolutely necessary or <br /> dictated by the SJCEHD and/or RWQCB. <br /> 7 . Consultant shall provide a copy of consultant' s standard <br /> services agreement and schedule of charges with any bid submitted. <br /> The schedule of charges shall include 1) hourly rates for personnel <br /> classifications employed by consultant, 2) unit charges for common <br /> supplies and equipment used in corrective action work, and 3) <br /> multipliers used when charging any other direct expenses (e.g. <br /> subcontractors, and materials) . <br /> 8 . Consultant understands that West Clay Properties reserves the <br /> right to refect any or all bids without notice or cause. West Clay <br /> Properties retains the right to solicit and accept additional bids <br /> as necessary in its judgment. All BIDS ARE DUE BY 5 : 00 P.M. ON <br /> WEDNESDAY, JUNE 28, 1995. <br />
