BIDDING REQUIREMENTS . Prospective consultants must be agreeable to or meet the following specifications: 1. The consultant must have acceptable experience conducting underground storage tank corrective action work in California. A statement of qualifications must accompany any bid submitted. 2 . The consultant must employ qualified persons to perform the work described above, including licensed engineers, geologists, civil engineers, or geotechnical engineers, and possess all necessary licenses to operate within the State of California and the jurisdiction of San Joaquin County. A list of qualified persons who will perform the work must accompany any bid submitted. 3 . The consultant must carry out the described work in a timely, professional, safe and legal manner and maintain necessary records and other safeguards to ensure that reported sample results are accurate. All work must be performed in a manner acceptable to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD) and the State of California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Office (RWQCB) . 4 . The consultant must provide at least 3 references of previous clients for whom the consultant has performed similar work within the past 3 years. 5. The consultant must maintain general liability insurance in the amount of $ 1, 000, 000 and professional errors and omissions liability insurance in the amount of $ 1, 000, 000 for the life of the pro3ect. Workers Comp insurance must be maintained in the statutory amount and meet all the requirements of the State of California. West Clay Properties will not be responsible for the cost of any premiums and Consultants insurance will remain primary. Consultant shall be responsible for any third party claims related to the execution of work described herein. Consultant must provide the endorsement naming West Clay Properties as additional insured. Consultant will indemnify and Hold Harmless West Clay Properties, its owners, employees and other contractors from any and all claims that result from the work performed by the Consultant, its agents, and employees. 6 . Work shall be performed in a manner which will not require the cessation of business at the site unless absolutely necessary or dictated by the SJCEHD and/or RWQCB. 7 . Consultant shall provide a copy of consultant' s standard services agreement and schedule of charges with any bid submitted. The schedule of charges shall include 1) hourly rates for personnel classifications employed by consultant, 2) unit charges for common supplies and equipment used in corrective action work, and 3) multipliers used when charging any other direct expenses (e.g. subcontractors, and materials) . 8 . Consultant understands that West Clay Properties reserves the right to refect any or all bids without notice or cause. West Clay Properties retains the right to solicit and accept additional bids as necessary in its judgment. All BIDS ARE DUE BY 5 : 00 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 28, 1995.
