MW-12B and MW-13B comprising the deeper water data set Ground water was within the screened
' intervals of wells MW-5, MW-6A, MW-7, MW-8A, MW-10, MW-11A, MW-12A, MW-13A and
EW-1,, comprising the shallow water data set Ground water was_approximately 11 85 feet andW
' 10 63 feet above the screened interval In MW-3 and EW-2, respectively M -3 and EW-2 are
screened between the shallow and deep groundwater Figure 3 illustrates the groundwater elevations
based on the two data sets Ground water flow direction near the former UST cluster was inferred
to be toward the east-southeast using data from wells screened within the upper and lower intervals
' Ground water flow direction near the former UST No 3 excavation was Inferred to be flowing
radially toward the west-southwest using data from wells screened within the upper interval and
' toward the south-southwest using data from wells screened within the lower interval The inferred
ground water gradient in the shallow zone was 0 003 ft/ft near the former UST cluster and 0 014 ft/ft
near the former UST No 3 location The inferred ground water gradient m the deep zone was 0 002
' ft/ft near the former UST cluster and 0 013 ft/ft near the former UST No 3
' 3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF WATER SAMPLES
'. TPH-g was detected in the samples collected from MW-1, MW-2, MW-10, MW-11B, MW-12B,
MW-13B, EW-1 and EW-2 at concentrations as high as 65,000 micrograms per liter (µg/1) in the `
sample collected from EW-1 TPH-d was detected in samples collected from MW-1, MW-2,MW-9,
'
MW10, MW-11B, EW=1 and EW-2 at concentrations as high as 20,000 gg/l (MW-10) Various
BTEX compounds were detected in samples from 8 of the 20 wells at concentrations as high as
2,300 gg/lbenzene(MW-1),9,500µg/ltoluene(EW-1'),2,600 Rg/lethylbenzene(EW-1)and 11,000
1 pg/l xylenes-(EW-1)
MTBE was detected in the water samples collected. from MW-9, MW-10, MW-11 B, MW-12B,
' MW-13A, MW-13B and EW-1 at concentrations ranging from 26 µg/l to 340 gg/l Water samples
analyzed from MW-1, MW-2; MW-5, MW-6A, MW-6B, MW-7, MW-11B, MW-12B and EW-2
contained detectable concentrations of 1,2-DCA ranging from 1 3 µg11 to 55 µg/1 EDB was not
detected in any of the samples collected from the 20 on site wells Analytical results of water
L samples collected during the third quarter of 2001 are summarized on Table 2 and 3, analytical
results from previous monitoring events°are summarized on Tables 4 and 5 Figures 4 and 5 illustrate'
the ground water contamination plumes in upper and lower giound water intervals The laboratory
report (MAI Lab IDs 76359 through 76378), chain--of-custody forms and the laboratory QA/QC ,
report are included in Appendix B
