INTRODUCTION - <br /> In accordance with the request of Ms Michelle Mariani of West Clay Properties, Advanced ; <br /> GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan for 639. <br /> West Clay Street, Stockton, California The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1- Location . <br /> Map Structures, well and boring locations are illustrated on Figure 2 -'Site Plan <br /> This work plan is prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PIS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional r <br /> 1 <br /> Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST) <br /> sites <br /> 20 ` BACKGROUND - <br /> The site is located iri a flat, commercial area of western Stockton, California It is oui undersianding <br /> that one 1,000-gallon UST was removed from the site in May 1990 The product line from the y ' <br /> former UST to the dispenser was removed in October 1993 Subsequently, approximately 550 cubic <br /> yards of hydrocarbon-impacted soil were removed from the former UST area Soil was excavated <br /> to depths of 38 feet, however, the lateral and vertical extent of contamination was not assessed <br /> Three monitoring wells and one additaonal'soil boring were drilled and installed at the site Ground f <br /> water was determided to be impacted and additional assessment was required by the PHS-EHD to , <br /> ' completely define the lateral and vertical extent of impacted soil and ground water <br /> ' In November 1996, four Geoprobe soil probe borings were advanced at the site Eight soil and two ', , <br /> grab water samples were analyzed from the probe borings Low concentrations of xylenes and total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as diesel were detected in thegrab water samples <br /> 1 <br /> 30 SCOPE OF,WORK <br /> I <br /> '3,1 DRILLING AND SAMPLING IL <br /> , 1 <br /> -The 'scope, of work will include the advancement of two, soil borings' to' a Itotal depth of <br /> approximately 35 feet below surface grade (bsg), collection of soil samples; arid'installation of two <br /> 2-inch diameter ground water monitoring'wells Soil borings will be advanced utilizing;a truck- <br /> Apmounted, drill rig equipped with 8 25-inch hollow-stem augers <br /> , , w <br />
