Box 6066
Stockton, California 95206
Subject: Sarale Farms
16500 West Clifton Court Road
Stockton, California 95206
Dear Ms. Sarale:
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has received and reviewed
Well Destruction Work Plan (work plan), dated 07 November 2013, prepared by your consulting
firm, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE), on your behalf for the above-referenced site.
The EHD had directed the submittal of a well destruction work plan by letters dated 19 August
2013 and 30 October 2013.
In the work plan, AGE proposes using 8.25-inch hollow stem augers to over-drill all eleven
monitoring wells to one foot deeper than the well's original depth when installed, then backfilling
the borehole to surface grade with neat cement. AGE proposes containerizing soil and
groundwater waste in properly labeled Department of Transportation-approved fifty-five gallon
drums prior to disposal of the drums at an appropriate waste facility, after which AGE proposes
to submit documentation of proper waste disposal when submitting the report of findings
following completion of the field work.
The EHD approves the work plan as submitted. Please submit an EHD Well and Boring Permit
Application form along with a Master File Record form and appropriate fees. The permit fee for
the destruction of each well is $125.00, along with a $375.00 Inspection Activity fee. A total of
$1,750.00 (11 x $125.00 + $375.00) will be required for the well destruction permit.
If you have any questions concerning the information requested by the EHD, please contact
Vicki McCartney at (209) 468-9852 or by email at vmccartney@sjcehd.com.
Sincerely,
Victoria L.
