Preliminary Site Assessment Work Pian <br /> SARALE FARMS <br /> 16500 West Clifton Court Road, Stockton, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Ms. Sandi Sarale of Sarale Farms Inc.,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. (AGE) <br /> has prepared this preliminary site assessment work plan for the advancement of soil probe borings <br /> and sample soil and ground water at 16500 West Clifton Court Road(the site), Stockton,California. <br /> The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> This work plan is prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD)by letter dated 28 September 2001 and in accordance <br /> with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CRWQCB) guidelines for the <br /> investigation of underground storage tanks (UST) sites. <br /> The purpose of the proposed assessment is to delineate the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon impact to soil at the site and to assess if ground water for fuel components potentially <br /> associated with an unauthorized release of petroleum hydrocarbons. This work plan provides a <br /> description of the scope of work and procedures to be used for soil probe boring advancement and <br /> collection and analysis of soil and `grab' ground water samples. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located in a topographically flat area of Stockton, California(Figure 1), approximately <br /> 0.5 miles west of the intersection of West Clifton Court Road and Calpack Road. <br /> 2.1. SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is presently utilized as a storage and repair facility for agricultural equipment and operations. <br /> A portion of the site is occupied by several structures utilized for office space, equipment <br /> maintenance and a storage yard. One 10,000-gallon gasoline UST was formerly located on the <br /> northern portion of the property. Structures and the former tank location are illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> 2.2. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> On 07 December 1992, one 10,000-gallon gasoline UST and approximately 100 feet of associated <br /> piping were removed from the site by Western Meter Service,Inc. and was transported to Cal Coast <br /> Manufacturing Co. for disposal. An Unauthorized Release Report (UAR) was issued by the <br /> PHS-EHD on 31 December 1992. The UAR was issued after laboratory analysis of soil samples <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironrn ntal,Inc. <br />
