More-recently-it has been used,-for storage-of" .- <br /> surplus equipment <br /> torage-of' -surplus-equipment <br /> On May 26, 1987, three underground storage tanks were removed from the <br /> property; one 500 gallon leaded gasoline tank,"- one`1,000-gallon diesel tank,= <br /> and one-1,500 gallon diesel tank. _The 1,500 gallon_ diesel tank at,-one.time - <br /> contained motor oil. During the removal,`ground�water was_ encountered, the <br /> 1,500 gallon tank-was ruptured and=a�small amount-of�-_r_ b­sTidual product was lost. <br /> z Once the tanks were- removed,4the� surrounding soil- was excavated. The <br /> small amount of. contaminated soil was spread-on -the -property and allowed to= <br /> aerate. The water in_the excavation:was sampled and analyzed for Total Pe <br /> troleun Hydrocarbons including Benzene,` Toluene-and Xylene The lab results <br /> disclosed 3,900 uq_/L Motor Oil, 20.-ug/L Benzene, -arid 50 ug/L-Xylene.-.
