San Joaquin Street
P O BOX 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Dear Ms. Lagorio:
Re: Fred Clark Site
729 S. Commerce Street
Stockton, CA
John P. Cummings and Associates (JPCA) was retained by Mr. Fred
Clark as his Environmental Consultant for the subject site. After
a review of the files, JPCA ascertained that two Fuel Underground
Storage Tanks (UST) were removed from this site and that
approximately 450 tons of gasoline contaminated soil was excavated
and remains on site.
Based on your letter of June 22 1993 , John P. Cummings of JPCA
collected nine discreet soil samples from the soil piled at the 729
S. Commerce Street site, on August 10, 1993 . These nine soil
samples were composited in a state certified laboratory to be
analyzed for CAM 17 Metals. A fish bio assay was to be performed
on these composited soil samples also.
FIELD METHODS
Nine discreet soil samples were collected in clean brass tubes,
sealed with plastic caps and taped, labeled, held in a cooler at 4
degrees C and transported under Chain-of-Custody (COC)
documentation to a state certified laboratory for compositing, with
a subsequent analysis and fish bio assay. The location of the soil
samples are identified in the site plan Figure 1.
Soil samples S1, S4 and S7 made up one composite sample (Cl) , S2 ,
S5 and S8 made up the second composite sample (C2) while S3 , S6 and
S9 made up the third composite sample (C3) .
