During the inspection, the employees began to <br /> clean up the releases inside the shop with shop rags. Outside,just north of the shop in the covered parking area is a <br /> John Deere tractor that has leaked oil onto the parking area. The released oil and oily debris has been left to <br /> accumulate under this tractor. Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, <br /> explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the <br /> environment. Immediately clean up all the dark and wet oil stains, spilled vehicle fluids, spilled oil, and oily debris, and <br /> manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation <br /> explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br /> Lead Technician Jovito Garcia stated that the used oil and drained used oil filters are handled as a hazardous waste. <br /> The 25 gallon drum of hazardous waste used oil and five gallon bucket of hazardous waste drained used oil filters have <br /> an accumulation start date of 7-1-15. These hazardous wastes have been on site longer than 180 days. Facilities who <br /> generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored on site at any <br /> time may store waste on site up to 180 days. Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of <br /> this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> On site to conduct a routine hazardous waste inspection. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by 7-20-16. <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br /> online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov. Be sure to include <br /> your hazardous waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant <br /> activities and required fields. <br /> Arcis Golf began operations in Novermber 2014. <br /> Page 4 of 5 <br />
