Because the site map prepared by Levine-Fricke does not
correspond with the site map prepared by Terra Services, it is impossible to determine the
relationship between the proposed well locations and the inferred free product plume. Regardless,
you may proceed with the work according to the schedule presented, provided you also resurvey all
the wells at the site as proposed in the March 1994 work plan. Also, your two consultants should
correlate their maps so that locations of various features are accurate on both.
The three new wells shall be incorporated into the existing monitoring and reporting program (MRP
No. 94-806). As a reminder, the quarterly reports also are supposed to include information on the
ongoing free product bailing. The next quarterly report is due by 30 October 1994. As shown in
Levine-Fricke's schedule, by 2 December 1994, you shall submit the investigation report and
remediation work plan.
Please provide 72 hours notice before any field work in case we wish to observe or obtain split
samples. If you have any questions, you may call me at (916) 255-3077. +
JOEL M.
