' SECTION 3 <br /> Tree System Monitoring Methodology <br /> This section provides an overview of the methodology used to perform the tree system <br /> monitoring.In addition, an overview is provided of site maintenance activities performed to <br /> ' assure that the tree system is healthy and vigorous. <br /> 3.1 Tree Monitoring <br /> ' 3.1.1 Monitoring Schedule <br /> ' Plant-survivorship monitoring of all planted trees is being conducted as shown in Table 3-1. <br /> Tree monitoring will be conducted for a period of 5 years following installation of the <br /> phytoremediation system as described in the Phytoremediation Cleanup Plan. The objective of <br /> ' the tree monitoring is to determine if trees have successfully established and survivorship <br /> goals have been achieved. Monitoring consists of annual plant survivorship counts,a health <br /> and vigor assessment,and photo documentation. Annual reporting is a requirement of tree <br /> ' monitoring. Plant-establishment monitoring is currently underway.
