r2 RESULTS FOR SECOND SEMIANNUAL PERIOD 2013 <br /> ' 2.2 Status of Remediation and Other Completed Activities <br /> This section presents the status of remediation and other completed activities for the second <br /> semiannual period 2013 (April through September 2013). <br /> ' 2.2.1 Remediation Activities <br /> The following remediation activities were performed. <br /> • Phytoremediation. Maintained the phytoremediation system as described in the Cleanup <br /> Plan Using Phytoremediation for the Source Area (CH2M HILL, 2004). <br /> • Monitored Natural Attenuation. Continued semiannual groundwater monitoring and <br /> reporting in accordance with MRP No. R5-2007-0831. Groundwater concentrations for <br /> TPHg,TPHd, and BTEX constituents continue to be stable to decreasing on a sitewide <br /> rand seasonal basis. <br /> 2.2.2 Other Completed Semiannual Activities <br /> ' The following additional activities were completed. <br /> Wildlife Habitat Council Certification <br /> SFPP continued implementing the wildlife habitat management plan submitted with the <br /> initial certification application to the Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) (August 31, 2007) as <br /> updated with the recertification applications submitted on July 30,2009,and June 28, 2011. <br /> The primary activities performed during the semiannual period included maintaining the <br /> habitat improvements installed as part of the wildlife habitat management plan. <br /> SFPP also submitted an application for recertification to WHC on June 28,2013. WHC has <br /> granted recertification. Recertification is valid for an additional 2 years. <br /> 2.3 Planned Upcoming Semiannual Activities <br /> The following activities are planned for the first semiannual period 2013 (October 2013 <br /> through March 2014). <br /> • Continue semiannual groundwater monitoring and reporting in accordance with MRP <br /> No. R5-2007-0831. <br /> • Continue maintenance of the phytoremediation system as described in the Cleanup Plan <br /> Using Phytoremediation for the Source Area (CH2M HILL,2004). <br /> • Perform annual tree monitoring event and submit annual tree monitoring report as <br /> described in the Cleanup Plan Using Phytoremediation for the Source Area (CH2M HILL, <br /> 2004). <br /> • Continue implementing the wildlife habitat management plan, as updated in SFPP's <br /> application for recertification submitted to WHC on June 28,2013. <br /> r <br /> WBG101513193707SC0/HOLT_2SA13_REPORT_FINAL 25 <br />
