7.0 SUMMARY
September 1994, Stockton Service Station Co., Inc. removed one 6,000-
gallon diesel fuel UST from the Sprint Communications facility at 3807
Coronado Ave, Stockton, CA. The UST was removed as part of a
construction project being conducted at the site. The UST was replaced
with a 10,000-gallon double-walled fiberglass UST.
Soil sampling and analysis were conducted during the UST removal process
at the stocktpiled material only due to unstable conditions that could have
jeopardized the integrity of the newly installed 10,000-gallon UST.
Laboratory result for the two samples obtained from the stockpiled soil
showed TPH levels of 230 parts for SPW and 17 parts for SPE.
t
The UST and its associated contents was excavated, stored, transported, and
disposed of in accordance with applicable Federal and San Joaquin County
Public Health regulations.
The excavated stocktpiled material was put back into the excavation pit to
stabalize the walls of the new 10,000 gallon UST.
A limited site assessment has been conducted, and proper assessment
activities have been performed and completed in coordination with San
Joaquin County Public Health. In accordance with EPA 40 CFR, part
280.74, a copy of this report will be maintained for a period of three years
at the Sprint facility as a record of this project. Sprint has verified the
closure of this tank by submittal of this report to the San Joaquin Public
Health Department.
