Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> RE: Well Construction Permit Applications for Monitor Wells <br /> Adjacent to LINL Site 300 <br /> Dear Ms. Ratliff: <br /> Enclosed are Well Construction Permit Applications for monitor wells W- <br /> 25M-01, W-25D-01, and W-25D-02. These wells were constructed in the fall of 1989 <br /> as the result of a request from the California Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board that we investigate the off site extent of trichloroethylene in shallow ground <br /> water. As is the case for all monitor wells that we install at Site 300 and on <br /> adjacent property, these wells were installed following all San Joaquin County <br /> Local Health District rules and regulations. At the time we installed these wells <br /> we were under the mistaken understanding that the wells were located on Site 300 <br /> property. We have since learned that this property is owned by the State of <br /> California and administered by the State Fish and Game Department. The Fish <br /> and Game Department is aware of our investigation activities on this property. <br /> The wells are located in Section 25, Township 3 South, Range 4 East. A <br /> map showing their location is enclosed. <br /> I have enclosed the $105.00 Permit Application Filing Fee for these three <br /> wells. As in the past, I would appreciate your sending the approved Permit <br /> Applications to me directly rather than to the drilling contractor. <br /> If there is additional information that you require, please call me at (415) <br /> 422-0757.
