WHAT ARE THE PERMIT APPEAL PROCEDURES?
The appeal procedures are contained in EPA's regulations in 40 C.F.R. Part 124. An appeal must be filed within thirty
days of the date of issuance of the denial. Anyone who files comments on the proposed denial during the public comment
period or who speaks at the public hearing on the denial may file an appeal. Appeals should be directed to the Office of the
Administrator, Environmental Protection Agency, 401 M Street S.W., Washington, D.C. 20460. An appeal of a final decision
could delay the effective date of the denial until the Administrator makes a decision on the appeal.
PUBLIC INPUT
HOW TO BE INVOLVED IN THE
Please share this fact sheet with anyone you think may be interested.
