The 40 <br /> WMUs consist of landfill Rits Ithrough 9 (except for Pit 6 ) , the burn pit <br /> facility, the high explosives (HE ) surface impoundments, eleven unlined HE <br /> lagoons, sixteen drywells, and two discharge areas at Buildings 819 and 879. <br /> The exemption of WMUs from SWAT requirements depends on information contained in <br /> the enclosed "SWAT Program Exemption Questionnaire and Guidelines" . You should <br /> complete a questionnaire for each WMU for which you seek SWAT exemption. The <br /> completed questionnaires must be submitted no later than 1 July 1989 to qualify <br /> for the exemption. <br /> All of the 40 WMUs are listed in Rank 5 of the SWAT list, Therefore, for any WMUs <br /> not receiving an exemption, SWAT proposals will be due 1 April 1990 and SWAT <br /> reports will be due 1 July 1991. <br /> If you hav/e any questions, please call me at (916) 361-5653. <br /> / <br /> MICHAEL Ll.
