Q� O�X <br /> WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS <br /> FOR <br /> UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA <br /> LAWRENCE LIVERMORE LABORATORY SITE 300 <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> The California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region, (here- <br /> after Board) , finds that: <br /> 1 . The Board on 26 September 1953 adopted Resolution No. 57-53 which prescribed <br /> requirements for a discharge from University of California Radiation Labora- <br /> tory to Corral Hollow Creek. <br /> 2. University of California Lawrence Livermore Laboratory Site 300 submitted in- <br /> formation concerning the discharge dated 29 August 1972. <br /> 3. Present waste discharge requirements established by Resolution No. 57-53 are <br /> not adequate nor consistent with present plans and policies of the Board. <br /> 4 University of California Lawrence Livermore Laboratory Site 300 discharges <br /> 5000 gallons per day (0.22 1/sec) of domestic sewage to evaporation percola- <br /> tion ponds. <br /> 5. University of California Lawrence Livermore Laboratory Site 300 is located <br /> in the NE 1/4 of Section 35, T35, R4E, MDB&M with surface water drainage to <br /> Corral Hollow Creek. <br /> 6. The beneficial uses of Corral Hollow Creek are: agricultural supply and esthe- <br /> tic enjoyment. <br /> 7. The beneficial uses of the groundwater are: domestic supply. <br /> 8. The Board, on 25 July 1975, adopted a Water Quality Control Plan for the <br /> San Joaquin Delta Basin. <br /> 9. The action to revise waste discharge requirements for this facility is exempt <br /> from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (Public Re- <br /> sources Code, Section 21000 et. seq. ) in accordance with Sections 15101 , 15107, <br /> and 15108, Chapter 3, Title 14, California Administrative Code. <br /> 10. The Board has notified the discharger and interested agencies and persons of <br /> its intent to prescribe waste discharge requirements for this discharge. <br /> 11 . The Board in a public meeting heard and considered all comments pertaining <br /> to the discharge. <br /> IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, that Resolution No. 57-53, be rescinded and University of <br /> California Lawrence Livermore Laboratory Site 300, shall comply with the following: <br />
