Underground Storage Tank Unauthorized (beak)/ <br /> Contamination Site Deport,Tank 871-DIU1 at Building 871 <br /> Attached is an Underground Storage Tank Unauthorized Release (Leak)/ <br /> Contamination Site Rcport for tank system 871-DIU1 at Lawrence Livermore <br /> National Laboratory Site 300. <br /> Und&rgzound storage tank 871-DlUl at Building 871 was a 2000 gallon single-waB r <br /> carb6n steel tank, that supplied diesel fuel to the Building 871 bailer. <br /> On July 26, 1994, the tank system was closed and the tank was removed from the <br /> grotthd. The smell of diesel fuel was noted in the excavation in the excavated <br /> materials. <br /> Sail Aarnples were collected within the excavation and from the soil removed from <br /> the ekcavation and submitted for analyses of diesel fuel (TPH-D) and BTXE.
