The report further states that the vadose monitoring wells were not
connected to an active remediation system, but were installed for future use.
It is unclear whether the ongoing CERCLA monitoring and remediation will prompt active remediation
using the existing vadose monitoring wells. Until the future use of the wells are known, the
requirement for submitting a quarterly monitoring report is unnecessary.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (209) 468-3452.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
nvironm ntal Health Division
Diane Hinson, REHS, Supervisor
Site Mitigation Unit
cc: S.
