• . k4l KLEINFtEDER
ATTACHMENT A
SCOPE OF WORK
Limited Groundwater Assessment
Monogram Collection Property
(Former R&B Trucking Company)
1785 N Corral Hollow Road
Tracy, California
INTRODUCTION
Kleinfelder is pleased to present this proposal to Fitzpatrick Homes for the Limited Groundwater
Assessment of the above-referenced site. This proposal was developed after correspondence
with Mr. Shawn Fitzpatrick of Fitzpatrick Homes and Mr. Harlin Knoll of San Joaquin County
Public Health Services Department, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD), using
Kleinfelder's current understanding of the site conditions, and is a preliminary understanding of
his desires and requirements. We have prepared this proposal based on information usually
requested in a workplan by PHS/EHD and the State of California Regional Water Quality
Control Board (RWQCB).
Kleinfelder is committed to providing a high level of service to its clients, commensurate with
their wants and needs. If a portion of this proposal does not meet the needs of the client, or if
those needs have changed, Kleinfelder stands ready to consider appropriate modifications,
subject to the standards of care to which we adhere as professionals. Modifications such as
changes in scope, methodology, scheduling, and contract terms and conditions may result in
changes to the risks assumed by the client, as well as adjustments to our fees. We look forward
to the opportunity to serve you.
BACKGROUND
Geologic Technics Inc's Assessment
Geologic Technics hie., conducted an environmental assessment of the site which was
documented in a report titled "Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, Robert W. Barenchi,
R&B Trucking Co., 1785 North Corral Hollow Road, Tracy CA 95376, APN: 238-030-03",
dated October 14, 1999. An appendix within this report included documentation of work
conducted in 1989 in which soil and groundwater sampling was conducted in the vicinity of
former underground storage tanks (USTs) located near the southwest corner of the site. Based on
conversations with Mr. Shawn Fitzpatrick and review of the Geoloigic Technics hie., report it
appears that the contaminated soil currently being excavated at the site is beneath or near a
maintenance shop building from the former R&B Trucking operations.
A summary of a portion of Geologic Technics hie, observations, conclusions and
recommendations are listed below. The following summary is related to the areas/items;
20-YP I-628/2011 P 180 Page A-1
0 2001,Kleinfelder,Inc. July 2,2001
