• . k4KLEI Nf ELDER
• There is an old maintenance shop on the western portion of the Property. This shop was built in
1968 and was used for the repair and maintenance of the trucks used by R&B Trucking.
• At the time of the site visit, the shop was locked and could only be observed through the broken
windows in the back side of the shop. It appeared to be mostly empty, with a few cans of paint,
drums,and miscellaneous parts and materials.
• No floor drains or sumps were visible.
Conclusions
• It is not known if the cans and drums contain liquid or chemicals of some kind.
Recommendations
• The contents of the cans and drums should be inspected and it should be determined if they
contain hazardous substance.
• If hazardous substances are present in these containers, then these chemicals should be disposed
of in an appropriate manner.
2. Aboveground Waste Oil Storage Tank:
Observations
• A 500-gallon aboveground waste oil tank is located NE of the shop. It sits in a large metal bin
that fomes a secondary containment.
• A second secondary containment unit is located on the east side of the shop on the concrete pad.
This unit appears to have been used for draining oil out of truck parts.
• Reportedly, the used oil was disposed of by recycling.
Conclusions
• There appears to be some oil stored in the tank, the amount is not known.
Recommendations
• Dispose of any waste oil in the tank and other containers in the secondary containment units
appropriately.
3. Old Domestic Water Well:
Observations
• An old domestic well is located in the west-central portion of the property. Reportedly it is not
in use and its appearance supports this.
Conclusions
• This well is abandoned and no longer needed.
Recommendations
• The well should be closed under permit from the Country.
20-YPI-628/2011P180 Page A-3
m 2001,Kleinfelder,Inc.
