Geologicaf Technics <br /> 2601 River Road EnvironmentafSpedahsts <br /> Modesto,CA 95351 <br /> (209)-538-7805 <br /> November 27, 1989 <br /> Project No.: GT-51 NOV 3 0 .2 0,9 <br /> Mr. Robert Barenchi <br /> R&B Trucking <br /> 1785 Corral Hollow Road <br /> Tracy,CA 95376 <br /> RE: ADDENDUM NO.1 <br /> PHASE I PRELIMINARY SITE ASSESSMENT WORK PLAN <br /> R&B TRUCKING <br /> ---::�1785 NORTH CORRAL HOLLOW ROAD <br /> /TRACY,CALIFORNIA <br /> Dear Mr. Barenchi, <br /> In response to comments in Thomas Peltier's (CRWQCB-CUR)letter dated October 12, 1989, <br /> regarding our firm's preliminary site assessment work plan, I have prepared the following <br /> addendum. <br /> The main concern Mr.Peltier expressed was that a minimum of three monitoring wells should be <br /> installed at R & B Trucking during this phase of work instead of only one that was initially <br /> proposed. Two reasons were given for this: 1)to determine onsite ground water gradient and,2) <br /> because one well may not be adequate to evaluate the ground water for the presence of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons. <br /> We agree with the reasoning of Mr. Peltier, therefore, we are proposing to install two <br /> additional monitoring wells. The location of two of the additional wells is shown on the <br /> attached property map. Due to the future plans for using this property for residential housing, <br /> the location of these wells have been chosen to have the least interference during the <br /> development of this property. <br /> The wells will be constructed as described in the preliminary site assessment work plan except <br /> that a minimum of 3 feet of granular bentonite seal will be placed above the filter pack, before <br /> the annular space is filled with cement grout. Each well will be developed, samples collected, <br /> and tested as described in the work plan. Well permits will be obtained before these wells are <br /> installed. <br />
