7.0 WORK ZONES AND SECURITY MEASURES <br /> The following general work zone and security guidelines will be implemented: <br /> Excavations shall be monitored when sampling activities are not actually taking <br /> place. <br /> No excavations shall be left unattended. Visitors will not enter the work zone <br /> unless they have attended a project safety briefing. <br /> „ Visitors who do not have business related to the project will be excluded from the <br /> site. <br /> The work zone for this site shall consist of the area within 10 feet of a drill rig. No equipment <br /> other than that needed to sample soils should be placed in this area. Persons outside this area <br /> should place their equipment and themselves upwind of any activities, soil piles, or open <br /> excavation. Persons outside the work zone will be considered as present in the <br /> support/decontammation zone and are not required to comply with the respiratory protection <br /> requirements unless vapor levels outside the work zone exceed action levels. <br /> L <br /> TETRA TECH: HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN PAGE 13 <br />
