This work plan was prepared by Condor Earth Technologies, Inc. (Condor) at the request(Figure <br /> the <br /> City of Stockton Municipal Utilities District(MUD). gore 1, <br /> The purpose of the work described in this work plan is to identify potential sources of contamination that <br /> have impacted the MUD storm drain system along Country Club and Plymouth. Water samples collected <br /> from the storm drain system indicated that methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), tertiary-butanol (TBA), and <br /> tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME) were present. Three known leaking underground storage tank sites are <br /> located along the two streets and may be potential sources. This work plan includes a description of the <br /> field, laboratory, and reporting procedures proposed to conduct the work. <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Approximately 12 hydropunch borings will be advanced to groundwater, assumed to be at an approximate <br /> depth of 10 feet below ground surface (bgs), along Country Club Blvd., Plymouth Road, and Ryde Avenue. <br /> The proposed boring locations are shown on Figure 2,attached. <br /> Site Preparation <br /> Condor will complete drilling and encroachment permit applications and obtain the required permits from <br /> the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SCJEHD) and the City of Stockton Public <br /> Works Department (PWD), respectively, prior to the fieldwork. Condor will schedule and coordinate all <br /> field activities through MUD, the driller, SJCEHD, and PWD as needed. The proposed boring locations will <br /> be marked with white paint and Underground Services Alert (USA) will be notified at least 72 hours in <br /> advance of the fieldwork to locate and identify underground utilities in and near the work area. <br /> Direct Push Boringc <br /> Prior to commencement of fieldwork, a tailgate safety meeting will be held and a site-specific Health and <br /> Safety Plan will be discussed with, and presented to, all field personnel for their signatures. Up to twelve <br /> direct push borings will be advanced to approximately 10 feet bgs to collect a groundwater grab sample for <br /> the purpose of investigating the lateral extent of contamination in shallow groundwater.
