k'q KLFINFELDER <br /> I <br /> 42 RESULTS OF WATER SAMPLES <br /> Table 1 located in the Appendix summarizes the groundwater analytical results collected from the <br /> Franklin Site area of the project A total of 14 grab groundwater samples were collected, seven <br /> from dewatenng wells and seven from pushprobe borings The groundwater samples were <br /> collected over three sampling events conducted on April 3, April 10 and May 2, 2003 Dunng <br /> Klelnfelder's initial sampling event on Apnl 3, 2003, groundwater samples were collected from <br /> three dewatenng wells (DW-54, DW-55 and DW-56) The seven pushprobe groundwater samples <br /> (GPI through GP7) were collected on April 10, 2003 and the final set of samples (DW-48, DW- <br /> 50, DW-51 and DW-52) were collected from dewatering wells on the western portion of the <br /> Franklin area For additional details, please see the laboratory data sheets and chain of custody <br /> records in Appendix D <br /> Based on the results summarized in Table 1 located in the Appendix, up to IO analytes from the <br /> requested suite of analyses (See Section 3 4) were detected in groundwater in the Franklin Area <br /> ' The following is a summary of the concentration ranges detected for these ten analytes <br /> TPH-G 0 058 to 0 58 mg/kg <br /> Total Xylenes 0 6 to 1 5 ltg/kg <br /> MTBE 0 59 to 62 Vtg/kg <br /> TBA 5 2 to 6 0 µg/kg <br /> Trans-1,2- DCE 1 1 to 160 pg/kg <br /> ' Cis-1,2-DCE 2 1 to 140 pg/kg <br /> WE 1 5 to I 1 µg/kg <br /> ' PCE 13 <br /> Chloroform <br /> 2 5 to 4 7 g/kg <br /> Total Lead 0 014 to 2 1 mg/kg <br /> Based on the findings It appears the majonty of the volatile organic compounds and <br /> petroleum <br /> constituents in groundwater are located over a 400 foot pipeline route area between DW-51 and <br /> GP-3 The estimated area including"trace" constituent concentration ranges from DW-50 to GP-5 <br /> which traverses approximately 650 linear feet The groundwater results from the farthest western <br /> end of the assessment area (DW-48) and from the farthest eastern end of the assessment area (GP6 <br /> ' and GP7) were found none detected for the requested analyses At the request of PHS/EHD one of <br /> the groundwater samples collected In the central portion of the assessment area (GP2) was also <br /> analyzed for TPH-D TPH-D was not detected at or above laboratory reporting limas from the <br /> groundwater sample collected from GP-2 <br /> 10 <br /> ' 25699 E01 /ST03R759 Page 9 of 17 <br /> Copyright 2003,Kleinfelder,Inc May 20,2003 <br />
