Attending the meeting were Denis Brown
representing Shell Oil, Venus Collins and Joseph Faso, the current landowners, Michael
Murphy, representing Conestoga Rovers and Associates, James Barton, representing
the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB), and Margaret
Lagorio, Nuel Henderson, and Michael Infurna, representing the EHD.
The meeting was requested by Mrs. Venus Collins to discuss concerns with the status
of the environmental investigation at the above subject site and disruptions the
investigation is causing the current tenant, Premier Financial Credit Union.
The EHD and the CVRWQCB agreed that the site is not ready for closure (No Further
Action) at this time. A report is due at the EHD that details the latest phase of
investigation that concluded field work August 11, 2008 and is to include a discussion of
the contamination at the site. The report is be in the format of a Site Conceptual Model,
as required by the EHD and is to include recommendations for either additional
investigation at the site or is to include an evaluation (Feasibility Study) of remedial
action alternatives to clean up the site.
The EHD will review the report and comment in writing. If additional onsite
drilling/construction is required, it was discussed at the meeting that adequate notice will
be given to Mr. Faso and Mrs. Collins so that they can inform the credit union personnel
of the pending activities.
