x enviros® <br /> near the former waste oil tank location, were also analyzed for Oil and Grease, VOCs, <br /> ICAP Metals, and SVOCs <br /> 3.0 FINDINGS <br /> 3.1 Geology and Hydrogeology <br /> Lithology encountered during the drilling of the exploratory soil borings consisted of clay, <br /> silt, clayey sand, silty sand, and sand to a maximum depth explored of approximately 36 <br /> feet below grade (fbg) First encountered ground water occurred in the borings at depths <br /> ranging from 19 to 33 fbg Ground water levels rose in each boring soon after it was first <br /> encountered Ground water in the borings rose to levels ranging from approximately 13 to <br /> 16 fbg <br /> 3.2 Soil Chemical Analytical Data <br /> Soil cherrucal analytical data are presented in Table 2 and shown on Plate 2 Certified <br /> analytical reports for soils are contained in Appendix B <br /> The soil sample from 30 fbg from Boring SB-1 contained 15 ppm of TPPH, 20 ppm of <br /> TEPH, and non-detectable (ND) levels of benzene <br /> Soil samples collected from 6, 11, and 31 fbg from Boring SB-2 contained TPPH at <br /> concentrations ranging from ND to 27 ppm, TEPH at concentrations ranging from 2 7 to <br /> 43 ppm, and benzene at concentrations ranging from ND to 0 11 ppm <br /> Analysis for Oil and Grease, ICAP Metals, VOCs, and SVOCs was performed on the soil <br /> samples from 6 and 11 fbg from Boring SB-2 Oil and Grease was detected at 184 ppm at <br /> 6 fbg and was ND at 11 fbg Chromium, lead, nickel, and zinc were detected in soil <br /> samples from Boring SB-2 at concentrations ranging from ND to 52 ppm Phenol was <br /> detected in the soil samples from 6 and 11 fbg at concentrations of 0 77 and 0 93 ppm, <br /> respectively No SVOCs were detected in the soil samples from Boring SB-2 <br /> The soil sample from 26 fbg from Boring SB-3 was ND for TPPH, contained 1 3 ppm of <br /> TEPH, and was ND for benzene <br /> The soil sample from 31 fbg from Boring SB-4 contained 1 5 ppm TPPH, 3 0 ppm of <br /> TEPH, and was ND for benzene <br /> The soil sample from 31 fbg from Boring SB-5 contained 890 ppm TPPH, 260 ppm of <br /> TEPH, and was ND (c0 50 ppm) for benzene <br /> 3.3 Soil Physical Analytical Data <br /> Soil samples from 11 and 35 fbg from Boring SB-1 were analyzed for physical parameters <br /> by Core Laboratories, Inc located in Bakersfield, California The analytical results for <br /> these samples are contained in Appendix B <br /> 407 3 <br />
