4.0 POTENTIAL OFF-SITE SOURCES <br /> To document potential sources of contamination within a 0 5-mile radius (approximately) <br /> of the site (the study area), a record search was obtained from Natec Environmental <br /> Services, Ltd. (Natec) of Garden Grove, California The search (Natec, December 1994) <br /> included both federal and state records and is summarized below A copy of Natec's <br /> report is included as Appendix C to this report <br /> 4 1 FEDERAL RECORDS SEARCH <br /> The federal records were derived from U S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) <br /> databases for the following categories of sites <br /> o Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability <br /> Index System (CERCLIS) <br /> o National Priorities List (NPL) <br /> o Federal Superfund Liens (LIENS) <br /> o Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Hazardous Waste <br /> Generators <br /> o Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA) Toxic <br /> Chemicals Release Inventory <br /> The Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Index System <br /> (CERCLIS) list is a compilation of sates that the EPA has investigated or is currently <br /> investigating for a release or threatened release of hazardous substances pursuant to the <br /> Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act of 1980 <br /> (CERCLA), commonly referred to as the Superfund Act The CERCLIS records, <br /> which were current as of August 1994, indicate that there are no CERCLIS sites within <br /> the study area. <br /> I 4-1 <br /> 02" <br /> "SYS-17'E-111 <br /> Consultants, Inc <br />
