Mike Infurna [EH]
From: Mike Infurna [EH]
Sent: Wednesday, December 29, 2010 4:17 PM
To: 'Barclay, Diane'
Subject: RE: 76 (Former BP)Service Station No. 11192, 1403 West Country Club Blvd, Stockton
Happy near New Year Diane,
I found some time to read your email.
I liked what I read. You're continuing to be someone I can count on to think of the 'whole'
picture when evaluating a site. Thank you.
The CPT (screening approach) is acceptable to me and I especially like the approach to
contact me after the first CPT, #4 data is back/before you go on. I will run this and my
comments by my PG. I'll get back to you by email.
So, what were planning on AFTER my comments? submitting a formal work plan with your
email data in it to Geotracker? normally, that would be the next progression but we're slightly
out of sequence/progression right now.
With the latest COP submittal, the Second Revision to Work Plan Addendum forAdditional
S/te Assessment, dated December 7, 2010 on my desk and Geotracker, the ball is in my court
and I need to respond. I somewhat responded by receiving it on Geotracker. Next, I review
and generate a letter/response. My response before your/this email would make it look like
the submittal was INADEQUATE and a revision was needed. BUT, with this email approach,
things are different. I need to get us back on track. I have TWO ways to do that.
1- 1 could DENY the Dec 7 submittal on Geotracker and you/COP could start over by sending
in another one based on the details in this email. NO EHD response letter would be
generated.
2- 1 DON'T deny the Dec 7 but now I have to write a DlSapproval letter and request a new
work plan. (based on this email)
how's that sound? Either way, I need a new work plan. YOU/COP want a DlSapproval letter?
or a denied workplan?
or,
3- you have another option?
I plan to met with my PG after the new year to discuss this site and this email. I could email
you back with our concerns and if we concur, you can include all in a new work plan. let me
know if you have a #3 or any other concerns before —Jan 5 please.
thanks for your immediate attention to this. Had I realized you are the 'fixer' for these sort of
sites, I would have brought it to your attention back in in 2006 when I realized the 2005 work
plan wasn't being acted on.
12/29/2010
