Two groundwater monitoring,
programs are being performed in accordance with the MRP,.Section I Groundwater Monitoring,
.referred to as "site-wide groundwater_monitoring"and Section II Groundwater Monitoring Upon.
Initiation of Reductant Solution Injection, referred to as "performance monitoring." SPX
previously reduced the MRP Section 11, performance monitoring requirements fiom 30 wells to
six wells in the North Yard according to the. Notification of Adjustment to F1111-Scale In Situ
Treatment Performance Sampling of the Nbrth Yard, dated 4 June 2013 and.from 24 wells to 8
f f
wells in the 'South Yard accordingto :the:Notification o Adjarstiizerzt to Fitll-Scale In Situ:
Treatment Performance Sampling of the South Yard, dated 7 October 2013. The MRP
establishes that: "Following four quarters of performance monitoring; sainple frequencies will
revert to those established in Section L Groundwater Monitoring, based.on sanzple results and
concurrence from the Central. Valley Water Board Project Manager." SPX's evaluation of
collected data and length of time since the most recent in situ event, October 2010 in the North
Yard and August 2012 in the: South Yard,, substantiates that continued MRP Section II
monitoring is no longer justified of warrarited, and it will therefore be terminated. If another-
round of in,situ remediation injections is to occur, the full list and analytical suite of sampling
3321 PoweF Inn Road TEL 916 924 8844
Suite Boo FAX: 916 418 8522
Sacramento,cA 95826 www.mwhgfobal.com
