BP Affiliated Company, for the purpose of further <br /> investigation of the vertical and lateral extent of dissolved fuel oxygenate impacts beneath and in <br /> the vicinity of the site referenced above. This workplan was prepared in response to a directive <br /> given in a correspondence from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD) <br /> dated February 18, 2011 (Attachment A). The work plan was originally due on February, 28, 2011; <br /> however, Stantec requested a two week extension. SJCEHD granted the extension and issued a <br /> new due date of March 14, 2011. The proposed scope of work includes up to four off-site Cone <br /> Penetrometer Test(CPT) borings and two on-site CPT borings. The locations of the proposed CPT <br /> borings are shown in Figure 1. <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at 1403 West Country Club Boulevard in Stockton, California, and is currently an <br /> li operating 76 service station. The operating facility consists of a station building, a car wash, an <br /> auto service bay, an oil change building, four dispenser islands, a canopy, three double-walled, <br /> 10,000-gallon gasoline underground storage tanks (USTs), one 2,500-gallon waste oil UST <br /> (operated by others), and associated product lines. <br />` The site was operated as a gasoline service station by Mobil Oil Company (Mobil), following the <br /> installation of two 10,000-gallon unleaded gasoline USTs, one 10-000-gallon leaded gasoline UST, <br /> three 3,000-gallon motor oil USTs, one 3,000-gallon used oil UST, associated piping and <br /> dispensers, and other facility structures in 1976. The site was purchased by SP Oil (BP) in May <br /> 1989. The site was operated under BP ownership until Tosco Corporation (now ConocoPhillips) <br /> assumed operations in 1994. <br /> i _ - <br />
