u
rW
INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION
Y
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
IT Corporation was retained by BP Oil Company in Oecember 1991 to conduct quarterly
sampling of the existing monitoring wells on their site located at 1403 Country Club Boulevard
In Stockton, California. The wells were sampled In order to detect whether there had been a
lateral dissemination of petroleum contaminants, encountered upon removal of seven
underground storage tanks from the site.
T^ Groundwater samples were collected on December 9. 1991, from three of the six,:.tW 5,
MW-6 and MW-7}onsite monitoring wells. Upon analysis, the samples from wells MW-5 and
MW-6 revealed no detectable levels o;petroleum hydrocarba.-w. The sampla collected from
well MW-7 revealed low levels of petroleum components only.
The remaining monitoring wells, MW-1, MW-3 and MW-4, have not contained water since
February 1991;therefore, no quarterly samples have been collected from these wells. IT V
recommends utilizing these wells for pressure monitoring and as vapor collection points during
an upcoming soil vapor extraction (SVE)pilot test. Following completion of the SVE test, the
utirdy of these wells as part of a soil vapor collection system will be examined. If the wells are
riot essential to the system, they will be abandoned as per San Joaquin County requirements.
t•
.. MZ101-02-9VUSTM58NER
a .
