A field blank sample consisting of distilled water was collected for quality
assurance purposes. Each container was placed in a'zip-lock" bag, security taped, an
placed in a refrigerated ice chest until delivery to the certified, contracted laboratory. Chain-
of-custody forms accompanied the samples at all times.
4.0 LABORATORY ANALYSES
The water samples were analyzed by Precision Analytical Laboratory, Inc.fcr Total Petroleum
r' Hydrocarbons (TPH) as Gasoline and Benzene,Toluene, Ethyibenzene, and total Xylenes
(BTEX)by EPA methods modified 5030 and 602,respectively.
5.0 SITE HYDROGEOLOGY
Groundwater was encountered from 30.42 feet to 31.36 feet below the well heads, with the
water table being situated at approximately 25 feet below mean sea level. No free product
" was encountered in any of the wells. The site specific potentiometric contours are depicted
.. on Figure 3, with a groundwater gradient of 0.003 ft/ft to the northeast. All wat6r level data is
contained in Table 1.
6.0 RESULTS
F The results of the analyses are summarized In Table 2,with copies of the chain in for analysis forms and laboratory reports following this report[n Appendices A
and B. respectively.
7.0 CONCLUSIONS
Groundwater sample analyses revealed no detectable hydrocarbons in the samples collected
from monitoring wells MW-5 and MW-6• The sample collected from well MW-7 revealed low
concentrations of petroleum components only. Wells MW-1, MW-3 and MW-4 contained no
water and were not sampled.
2
M71ot-02-92fUSTI005SMER
