i <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING WELL AND <br /> OZONE MICROSPARGE SYSTEM INSTALLATION REPORT <br /> for <br /> Tosco (76) Service Station No 11192 <br /> 1403 Country Club Blvd <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Report No 140245 8 <br /> 1.0 1NTRODTIC.'TION <br /> At the request of ConocoPhillips, Gettler-Ryan Inc (GR), has prepared this report documenting the <br /> advancement of two cone penetrometer test (CTP) probes, the installation of two groundwater <br /> monitoring wells, and the installation of an ozone mncrosparge remedial system to address impacted <br /> groundwater at the subject site This work was originally proposed in GR's Updated Corrective <br /> Action Plan, dated June 26, 2002 and revised in GR's Response to EHD Letter Concerning Tosco <br /> (76) Service Station No 11192, dated November 7, 2002 The proposed ozone microsparge <br /> • system and monitoring well installation were approved by the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department (PHS-EHD)in a letter to ConocoPhilhps dated July 22, 2002 <br /> The scope of work included obtaining the necessary well installation permits from the (PHS- <br /> EHD), preparing a site specific health and safety plan, drilling twelve soil borings and mstallmg <br /> monitoring wells in two of the borings and ozone microsparge points in the remaining ten borings, <br /> advancing two CPT borings, surveying the wellhead elevations, developing and sampling the <br /> wells, collecting and submitting selected soil and groundwater samples to a certified analytical <br /> laboratory for chemical analysis, coordinating ConocoPhnllips' contractor to dispose of the soil <br /> cuttings, installation of an ozone microsparge system, and preparing a report which presents the <br /> findings of the investigation <br /> 2-0 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is located at 1403 Country Club Boulevard, on the northwest corner of the intersection of <br /> Country Club Boulevard and Pershing Avenue in Stockton, California (Figure 1) The site is <br /> currently an operating Tosca (76) Service Station Aboveground station facilities include a station <br /> building, a car wash, an auto service building and an oil change building (operated by others) and <br /> four dispenser islands under a canopy Underground facilities include three 10,000-gallon gasoline <br /> underground storage tanks (USTs), one waste oil UST (operated by others), seven onsite (MW-1, <br /> MW-3 through MW-7 and MW-11) and three offsite (MW-8 through MW-10) groundwater <br /> monitoring wells Properties in the site vicinity are developed primarily for residential and <br /> commercial retail use <br />
