Updated Corrective Action Plan—Tosco(76) Service Station No 11192, Stockton, California <br /> June 26 2002 <br /> for a minimum of 24 hours prior to installation of the monitoring well The actual depth of the conductor <br /> casings will be based on field observations made during drilling, and may vary accordingly Proposed <br /> well construction details are shown on Figures 9 and 10 <br /> The sparge points will be constructed with 2-inch diameter sparge points attached to 3/4-inch blank <br /> schedule 80 PVC casing installed through the hollow-stem augers The sparge points are composed of <br /> 30-inch long sections of macroporous plastic The sparge points will be installed to a depth of <br /> approximately 30 feet bgs Proposed sparge point construction details are presented on Figure 11 <br /> 44 Wellhead Survey <br /> Following installation, the top of the monitoring well casings will be surveyed to mean sea level by a <br /> California-licensed surveyor Horizontal and Global Positioning System(GPS) coordinates of the well <br /> locations will be obtained at the same time <br /> 45 Well Development and Sampling <br /> The newly installed groundwater monitoring wells will be developed after being allowed to stand for a <br /> minimum of 72 hours following installation Groundwater samples from the five new wells will be <br /> collected immediately upon completion of well development Groundwater purged from the wells during <br /> development and sampling will be transported to the Tosco Refinery in Rodeo, California, for disposal <br /> 46 Laboratory Analyses <br /> All samples will be submitted to a California-certified Hazardous Materials Testing Laboratory Selected <br /> soil and all groundwater samples will be analyzed for TPHg,BTEX, MtBE and other fuel oxygenates by <br /> EPA Method 8260B The disposal characterization sample from the soil stockpile will also be analyzed <br /> for total lead by EPA Method 6010, as required by the disposal facility <br /> 47 Reporting <br /> Following receipt and analysis of all data,a report will be prepared which summarizes the procedures and <br /> the results associated with the additional delineation investigation After the installation and startup of the <br /> ozone microsparge system is complete,a report detailing the installation procedures,startup of the system, <br /> progress sampling, and status reporting will be prepared These reports will be submitted to Tosco for <br /> their use and distribution <br /> 140245 08 15 <br />
