UPDATED CORRECTIVE ACTION PLAN <br /> l� <br /> for <br /> Tosco (Former BP) Service Station No 11192 <br /> 1403 Country Club Boulevard <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Report No 140245 08-2 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Tosco Corporation (Tosco), a subsidiary of Phillips 66 Company, and in accordance <br /> with the requirements of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services-Environmental Health <br /> Division(PHS-EHD),Gettler Ryan,Inc (GR)has prepared this updated Corrective Action Plan(CAP) <br /> for the subject site This updated CAP also includes a Work Plan for additional delineation of the <br /> hydrocarbon plume beneath the site Ina letter to Tosco dated April 23,2002,the PHS-EHD requested <br /> that an updated CAP be completed This updated CAP contains data from another site (Former Unocal <br /> Service Station No 0187) in Stockton which is currently undergoing ozone microsparging (OMS) <br /> remediation for petroleum hydrocarbon impact to groundwater This data is included to support GR's <br /> conclusion that OMS is a feasible and cost-effective remedial technology for the Tosco site This data <br /> submittal is also included as an alternative to a six-month 2ilot test at the Tosco site,which GR believes <br /> is unnecessary and would delay implementing.a timely remedial action <br /> This CAP has been prepared based on the guidelines presented in the California Code of Regulations, <br /> Title 23,Division 3,Chapter 16,Article II,Sections 2725(b), (d),and(e)through(g),and formatted per <br /> the requirements of this regulation <br /> 2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> 21 General <br /> The site is located at 1403 Country Club Boulevard, on the northwest corner of the intersection of <br /> Country Club Boulevard and Pershing Avenue in Stockton,California(Figure 1) The site is currently <br /> an operating Tosco (76) Service Station Aboveground station facilities include a station building, a <br /> car wash, an auto service building and an oil change building (operated by others)and four dispenser <br /> islands under a canopy Underground facilities include three 10,000-gallon double-walled fiberglass <br /> gasoline underground storage tanks(USTs),one waste oil UST(operated by others),seven onsite(MW- <br /> 1, MW-3 through MW-7 and MW-11) and three offsite (MW-8 through MW-10) groundwater <br /> monitoring wells Properties in the site vicinity are developed primarily for residential and commercial <br /> retail use <br /> A former Shell service station was located across Pershing Avenue to the east of the subject site, and is <br /> currently occupied by a closed bank Six groundwater monitoring wells were installed by others at and <br /> in the vicinity of the former Shell station Pertinent site features are shown on Figure 2 <br />
