INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr Phil Elder, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has <br /> prepared this Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan for collection of soil and ground water <br /> samples at 1856 Country Club Boulevard, Stockton, California The scope of work includes <br /> advancement of at least three angled soil probe borings in the underground storage tank(UST) and <br /> dispenser areas The location of the site and the immediately surrounding area are illustrated on <br /> Figure 1, site structures and boring locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> This Work Plan is prepared in accordance with the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of UST sites <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> 2 1 SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is located at 1856 Country Club Boulevard between Mission Road and Buena Vista Avenue <br /> The site is located in an area of low topographic relief at an elevation between 5 and 10 feet above <br /> mean sea level in the City of Stockton, San Joaquin County, California(Stockton West Quadrangle, <br /> 7 5-Minute USGS Topographic Series, photo revised 1987) <br /> The Country Club Food& Fuel facility operates as a gasoline dispensing station and mini-market <br /> Currently, one 6,000-gallon and two 4,000-gallon gasoline USTs are being utilized at the site as part <br /> of business operations The surrounding area is utilized for residential and light commercial <br /> purposes <br /> 2 3 REGIONAL GEOLOGIC SETTING <br /> According to the Geologic Map of California, published in 1977 by the State of California <br /> Department of Mines and Geology, the site area is within the Great Valley Geomorphic Province <br /> of California, a large, elongate,northwest trending structural trough The Great Valley Province has <br /> been filled to its present elevation with thick sequences of sediment ranging in age from Jurassic to <br /> present day, creating a nearly flat lying alluvial plain extending from the Tehachapi Mountains in <br /> Advanced GecEnwonmental,Inc <br />
