15 December 2005 ' <br /> AGE-NC Project No 98-0465 <br />' Page 4 of 8 <br /> , <br /> • BTEX compounds were not detected in the ground water samples collected and analyzed <br />' during the Fourth Quarter 2005 s <br /> ` 0 TPH-g was detected in the, ground water sample collected from well MW-1 at a <br />' concentration of 440 �ig/l Historically, TPH-g has not been detected above laboratory <br /> reporting limits in monitoring wells MW-2 through MW-4 <br /> • MTBE was detected in samples collected from MW-1 and MW-3 at concentrations of <br /> r 440µg/l and 55 ug/l,respectively The concentrations of MTBE in MW-1 and MW-2 exceed <br /> the Primary State and Federal established maximum containment level(MCL)of 13 Vg/1 for <br />' MTBE in drinking water 4 <br /> • The lateral and vertical extent of MTBE-impacted ground water has historically been defined <br /> in all directions In order to assess the possibility of the plume commingling with <br />' contamination,at the adjacent Sanchez Property, AGE has submitted a Work Plan for an <br /> additional monitoring well near soil boring B-2 (Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan <br /> Addendum, dated 09 November 2005) <br /> I <br /> lie 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Based,on the findings recounted in this report, AGE recommends <br /> a Continued quarterly monitoring of the ground water monitoring wells until directed to cease <br />' monitoring The next monitoring event was performed in January 2006 <br /> • If required, preparation of a Corrective Action Plan to remove the dissolved MTBE problem <br /> centered near the northern end of the dispenser area } <br /> 1 <br /> I6.0: LIMITATIONS <br /> 'Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by <br /> environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon field <br /> measurements and analytical results provided by an independent Iaboratory Evaluation of the <br /> hydrogeologic conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited <br /> I number of available data points(i a soil and ground water samples);and subsurface conditions may <br /> vary away from these data points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the <br /> professional interpretations, opinions, and recommendations contained in this report <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmentai,Inc <br />
