16 February 2005
1• AGE-NC Project No 98-0465
_ Page 3 of 4 1
t
Figure 3 illustrates the contoured ground water elevations as measured on 15 October 2004 The
relative ground water elevation at the site decreased an average of 129 feet between the July and
October 2004 monitoring events
r

Wells MW-1 through MW-4,and wells MW-2 through MW-4, MW-6, and MW-7 on the adjacent
site were used to model ground water flow direction and calculate gradient The ground water flow
direction was inferred to be northerly at the former UST location and to southeast in the northwestern
portion of the site The hydraulic gradient was determined to be 0 02 feet/feet (ft/ft) at the the
adjacent site (Sanchez Property) and 0 006 ft/fl or less at the UST loaction Figure 3 illustrates the
contoured ground water elevations as measured on 15 October 2004
' 32 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
TPH-d and BTEX compounds were not detected at concentrations at or above the laboratory
' reporting limits in any of the ground water samples TPH-g was detected in ground water samples
collected from MW-1 at a concentration of 800 micrograms per liter (µg/1) This is the sixth
consecutive monitoring event that TPH-g was detected in MW
' • MTBE was detected in samples collected from MW-1 and MW-3 at concentrations of 770 µg/1 and
14 µg/l, respectively No other fuel oxygenated compounds were detected in the ground water
' analysis at or above laboratory detection limits
Analytical results of ground water samples are summarized in Table 2 The laboratory report(CTEL
Project No CT214-0410093), quality assurance/quality control report, and chain of custody forms
are included in Appendix C Documents confirming the upload of laboratory electronic deliverable
format(EDF) files and depth to water measurements to GeoTracker are included in Appendix D
1
If ,
' 4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
r
Based on data collected at the site, AGE concludes '
• The ground water elevations on-site ranged from 9 91 to 10 07 feet below MSL Ground
water flow was inferred to be towards the north under a gradient of 0 006 ft/ft or less
' TPH-d and BTEX were not detected in the ground water samples collected and analyzed
during the fourth quarter 2004
' TPH-g was detected in ground water samples collected from MW-1 at a concentration of
• 800 µg/l, for the fifth consecutive monitoring event Historically, TPH-g has not been
Advanced GeoEnv►ronmental,Inc
1 y 1
