Tnfurna Jr. February 9, 2000 <br /> San Joaquin County EHD <br /> LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV <br /> 304 East Weber Ave., Third Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95201-0388 <br /> Dear Mr. Infurna: <br /> Please find enclosed one copy of Western Geo-Engineer's "October-December 1999 <br /> Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report for Sanchez Property, 1876 Country Club <br /> Blvd., Stockton, CA" dated February 4, 2000. <br /> The recommendations of this most recent quarterly groundwater monitoring report <br /> include: <br /> • The installation of one off-site monitor well west of MW1 to define the downgradient <br /> extent of the groundwater contamination plume. <br /> • Conducting a pump test at the existing monitor wells to determine the feasibility of <br /> dewatering during the possible overexcavation of the former UST area and/or <br /> dewatering in conjunction with vapor extraction. <br /> • Conducting an airparging/vapor extraction pilot test using air sparging in conjunction <br /> with the installation of horizontal vapor extraction.piping within a backfilled trench <br /> that traverses the former UST area. <br /> We have recentlyreceived pre-approval of costs from the UST Cleanup Fund in the <br /> P Pp P <br /> amount of $26, 799.85 to implement these. recommendations and use the resulting <br /> information to prepare a Corrective Action Plan for the site. <br /> Please let me know soon if your office will require a workplan before proceeding with { <br /> any or all of these proposals. <br /> Thank you for your.help, <br /> David hrelfall <br /> Western Geo-Engineers <br /> cc: Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Sanchez <br />
