J. Hunter & Associates ppRM(TrSERVICES
October 3, 1996
PURPOSE OF WORK:
Extensive investigative work performed over the past three years
has defined the limits of groundwater contamination caused by
gasoline UST's, which were removed in 1989. That work included
the placement of five (5) monitoring wells on the site, a soil
gas vapor survey, an exhaustive title search of the area, and
seven (7) shallow geoprobe holes. The highest levels of contami-
nation measured in the water are in the vicinity of MW-1,
although soil contamination was only found in the sample at 161 ,
(which is in the "smear zone;") samples at 61 , 111 , 21' & 25'
were ND. All soil samples taken from MW-2 were ND, and only the
sample at 16' & 23' in MW-3 showed contamination. it is believed
that the product lines or dispenser leaks at the north pump
island (shown on PLATE I,) may have been a major contributor to
the high levels of gasoline compounds measured in the water. The
two pump islands were not removed with the UST's and the soil
beneath those areas has not been evaluated.
In order to evaluate the extent of soil contamination, it is
proposed to place up to seven (7) geoprobes at the approximate
locations shown on PLATE I. This work will precede the work
proposed in the WJH second quarter 1996 monitoring report dated
September 12, 2996, and may obviate the need for that work.
PROPERTY ADDRESS:
1876_ Country Club Drive, Stockton, CA
NAME & ADDRESS OF PROPERTY OWNERS:
Manuel & Mary Sanchez, 1633 W.
