Clean tools <br /> were advanced to 151 , and the core barrel was driven to 16161' <br /> Recovery consisted of 1511 of damp, silty, sandy gray clay, with <br /> some mottling A faint unidentifiable odor was detected in the <br /> core head The '155 tom sleeve was promptly sealed and taken to <br /> the onsite lab for analysis <br /> The hydropunch-type tool was driven to 201 , and sufficient <br /> slightly muddy water was recovered to fill two VOAIs, they were <br /> quickly sealed and taken to the onsite lab <br /> A bentonite seal was placed across the aquifer and after the <br /> drilling tools were decontaminated, the truck was mobilized on <br /> SP-7 , see PLATE II . Tools were advanced to 151 bgl, and a core <br /> taken from 151 -16 ' 611 Recovery consisted of 1511 of dry, friable, <br /> fine-to medium-grained silty sand, tan to brown, with abundant <br /> masa, and some iron staining as noted in any of the <br /> cored interval . The bottom sleeve was quickly sealed and taken <br /> to the onsite lab. After placing a clean hydropunch-type tool on <br /> the bottom of clean pipe, it was driven to 201 bgl and allowed to <br /> set for 5-10 minutes A clean ss bailer was run and obtained <br /> sufficient muddy water to fill 2 VOA1s, which were taken directly <br /> to the onsite lab <br /> rdecontaminating equipment, the probe truck was mobilized on <br /> SP-3 , the last one to be placed The split-spoon sampler <br /> equipped with clean brass tubes was screwed on the bottom of <br /> clean 2t1 pipe and pushed & hammered to 151 The core barrel was <br /> opened, and driven to 16 1 611 , recovery consisted of 1511 of sticky, <br /> slightly damp gray clay, with occasszonal streaks of iron oxide <br /> staining. A sla ht etroleum odor was noted in the core head and <br /> portions of the core, but there was no visible evidence of <br /> contamination. The bottom tube was promptly sealed and taken <br /> directly to the onsite lab. The decontaminated water sampling <br /> device was lowered on the dra_11 string and driven to 201 bgl <br /> After standing for 5-10 minutes, slightly muddy water was <br /> recovered with a ss bailer & 2 VOA' s were filled and taken to the <br /> onsite lab. A very faint petroleum odor was detected in the <br /> water obtained from the first bailer run <br /> Operations were finished at 1600 hours; all probe holes were <br /> 4 <br />
