Included are copies of the field
logs made by Del-Tech, laboratory, results, and a site map
summarizing the lab data & hydraulic gradient. The requested
analysis for EPA 502. 1 was not done because the laboratory was
unable to perform that test. Ile will utilize to different testing
facility when the wells are sampled the next time to make sure
that analysis can be done.
The results of the work done to date is summarized below:
1. The water table has dropped almost one (1) foot since the
measurements taken in July, and is lower than the intial readings
taken in April of this year.
2. The hydraulic gradient, which was essentially due east when
measured in July, has shifted about 60 degrees to the northeast.
3. The levels of contamination measured in the water samples
varied considerably from those taken in July; refer to R
for a summary of all water analysis taken to date. The
differences are briefly summarized below:
MW-1 Levels of benzene & TPHG are higher; others are lower.
MW-2 TPHG is slightly higher, BTEX all lower.
MW--3 Benzene is higher, rest are all lower.
COMMNTS:
1. The water levels measured in all three wells are below those
initially recorded in April, but the amount of benzene has
increased in both MW-1 & MW-3. The DST' s had not been in service
for over 15 years, & were removed from the site in January, 1989;
for those reasons the increasing levels of benzene encountered
1
