386 EAST <br /> WESTERN 1WOODLAND CA 9577*6=6403 <br /> GEO-ENGINEERS (530) 668-5380, <br /> CALIF CONTRACTOR#513857 FAX(530)662-073 <br /> REGISTERED GEOLOGISTS wegeomother cam <br /> SOIL AND GROUNDWATER SAMPLING REPORT <br /> FOR SANCHEZ PROPERTY, 1876 COUNTR Y CL UB BL VD., STOCKTON, CA <br /> MA Y H, 1998 <br /> PURPOSE AND SCOPE <br /> Western Geo-Engineers (WEGE) was contracted by Mr and Mrs Manuel Sanchez to implement <br /> WEGE's February 3, 1998 "Workplan for Defining the Vertical Limits of Soil and Groundwater <br /> Contamination at Sanchez Property, 1876 Country Club Blvd , Stockton, CA " The workplan with <br /> amendments was approved by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SCEHD) <br /> on February 9, 1998 (see Appendix A) The following report documents the collection and certified <br /> laboratory analysis of soil and groundwater samples from one soil boring drilled on March 26, <br /> 1998 at the site <br /> i <br /> SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> The site address is 1876 Country Club Blvd , Stockton, CA It is located at the southeast corner of <br /> the intersection of Mission Street and Country Club Blvd (Figure 1) The property is located in <br /> projected Section 4, T1N, R6E of the MDB&M at approximately five feet above mean sea level <br /> (Figure 2) <br /> The property previously contained two 1000 gallon gasoline Underground Storage Tanks (UST's), <br /> product dispensers, and associated underground piping (Figure 3) The UST's, dispensers, and <br /> piping were removed from the site to 1989 <br /> The property owner has installed five monitoring wells in the course of investigating the soil and <br /> groundwater conditions at the site <br /> LOCAL GEOLOGY AND HYDROGEOLOGY <br /> The site is located on surface soils belonging to the Stockton Adobe Clay and Honeycut Clay <br /> series They are derived from Recent alluvial fan and floodplain deposits The 40 feet of explored <br /> section consisted of clay and silt overlying interbedded lenses of silty and clayey sands to 30 feet <br /> bgs A dense, stiff gray clay was encountered from 30 feet to 40 feet bgs in soil boring TH1 <br /> These clays contained minor amounts of fine sand Small lenses of this fine sand may have been <br /> undetected during the drilling and sampling of TH 1 between 30 and 40 feet bgs and may account <br /> for the rapid water entry into the hydropunch tool <br /> • The groundwater in the vicinity of the site is unconfined Groundwater elevation at the site varies <br /> from a wet year high of 7 feet bgs to about 35-40 feet bgs during the previous drought period <br /> I SANCHEZ SRPT 5/11/98 <br />
