Box 388
Stockton, CA 95201.-0388
Ref FIRST QUARTER, 1997, GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT, 1876
Country Club Drive, Stockton, Site Code 1844
Dear Mr Infurna,
We are enclosing the results of the thirteenth groundwater
measurements, sampling & laboratory results done on May 1, 1997,
covering the above property Included are copies of the field
logs made by Del-Tech, a table summarizing sampling results,
laboratory reports, and a site map showing the pieziometric
surface based on the 5/1/97 data with all of the hydraulic
gradients measured to date We have also prepared maps showing
lines of equal concentrations of benzene, ethylbenzene, toluene,
. xylene & TPHg based on the most recent data
The water table was located at an average depth of 12 . 50 ' bgl,
(- 8 . 35 ' msl , ) a rise of 3 67 ' since the December sampling The
lowest average depth was 22 20 ' bgl in January, 1994 ; the highest
was the May, 1997 event This is a maximum fluctuation of water
depth of 9 . 71 . Due this rather significant change, the water
table is now above the screened intervals in the monitoring
wells
The potentiometric gradient is very flat - to the north at about
. 002 ' /ft . or 10 56 ' /mile Data obtained from the December, 1996
sampling indicated that the water table had created a depression
in the area between monitoring wells #1 , #2 , & #3 ; (see that
report for more details ) That pattern had not been seen before,
and is not indicated by the latest data
A summary of all laboratory results of water samples taken since
monitoring began is shown on TABLE I Laboratory reports & QA/QC
results are included in the back of the report MW-1 continues
to show the highest levels of contamination, although the levels
have decreased significantly since the December sampling A
summary of results from the last two events is summarized here
for your information
1
