COLLECTION AND CERTIFIED ANALYSIS OF GROUNDWATER SAMPLES
WEGE and Pittman Well Purging (PWP) personnel collected quarterly groundwater
samples from the eleven monitor wells at the site on August 7, 2003 See Appendix A
for QA/QC, details, methods, procedures, abbreviations, and acronyms used in sampling
j and analysis
Following depth to water measurements, WEGE and PWP personnel used a truck
mounted vacuum lift pump and dedicated one inch diameter PVC tubing to purge each
well of three volumes of water
After purging, the wells were allowed to recover to at least 80% of their original well
volumes A groundwater sample was then collected from each well with a polyethylene
bailer and decanted with no headspace into two 40 ml VOA vials containing 0 5 ml HCL
acid as a preservative
The samples were delivered with accompanying chain of custody documentation to KIFF
Analytical LLC (DHS certified #2236) The laboratory analyzed the water samples from
each monitor well for concentrations of TPH-G, BTEX and MtBE using EPA method
8260B, see Appendix C -Laboratory Report
DISPOSITION OF WASTEWATER
Groundwater purged during the May 22, 2003 sampling of the monitor wells was
processed through 4, in series, water carbon units, no discharge occurred from the e
carbon Groundwater purged during the August 7, 2003 sampling of the monitor wells
was processed through the 4, in serves, water carbon units 40 gallons of treated water
was discharged from the 4h carbon unit into a 55 gallon drum This water was sampled
and temporarily contained on-site to the 55 gallon DOT approved drum Sample results
showed this water could be discharged to the sanitary sewer and was discharged on
August 28, 2003, see August 2003 Sewer Discharge Report, Appendix D
RESULTS OF QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING
GROUNDWATER GPADIENT AND FLOW DIRECTION
i
A-ZONE - 1876 AND 1856 COUNTRY CLUB Bor'YARD
Figure 4A uses the new survey elevations supplied by Kjeldsen, Sinnock &Keudeck, Inc
survey dated May 1, 2001 Figure 4A shows the groundwater elevation gradient and flow
direction determined from depth to water measurements at the four on-site monitor wells
5 QM 3"d 2003
