! STEP-DRAWDOWN TEST RWIA.
To get some idea of the practicality of de-watering the A-zone sand a step drawdown test was
performed in RW 1 A The test was performed by placing a variable speed Grundfos pump in
RWIA The water was pumped through carbon to the sanitary sewer under variance from the
Stockton sewer district This test lasted a period of 3 43 hours or 206 minutes During the test, the
pump rate was increased in steps, starting at 0 5 gallon per minute As the drawdown in the well
reaches equilibrium, the pump rate was increased in 0 5 gallon per minute increments At 1 4
gallons per minute the pump rate exceeded the rate of water entry into the well and the test was
discontinued
Downhole pressure transducers were used to collect drawdown information from PZ 1 A, PZ 1 B,
MA, PZ2B MW 1, RW I A, and RW 1 B
STEP DRAWDOWN TEST RWIB
To determine the practicality of de-watering the B-Zone a Step Drawdown test was performed in
RWIB The test was performed by placing a variable speed Grundfos pump in RWIB The water
was pumped through carbon to the sanitary sewer under variance from the Stockton sewer district
This test lasted eight hours During the test, the pump rate was increased in steps, starting at 0 8
gallons per minute As the drawdown in the well reached equilibrium, the pump rate was increased
in approximately 0 5 gpm increments
Downhole pressure transducers were used to collect drawdown information from PZ 1 A, PZ 1 B,
MA, PZ2B MWI, RWIA, and RWIB Depth to water in the other surrounding wells were
measured periodically with the depth to water meter and recorded
24 HOUR CONSTANT RATE PUMP TEST RW1A
To determine the aquifer properties of the upper sand (A Zone) a constant rate pump test was
performed from RW 1 A The pump was placed inRW I A and water was pumped at and average of
0 725 gpm for 24 hours The 0 725 gpm pump rate was determined by the step down test on
RWIA
Downhole pressure transducers were used to collect drawdown information from PZ 1 A, PZ 1 B,
MA, PZ2B, MW I, RW 1 A, and RWIB Depth to water in the other surrounding wells were
measured periodically with the depth to water meter and recorded
24 HOUR CONSTANT RATE PUMP TEST RWIB
In order to determine the aquifer properties of the lower sand (B Zone) a constant rate pump test
was performed from RWIB The pump was placed in RWIB and water was pumped for 24 hours
at 4 11 gallons per minute The 4 11 gpm pump rate was determined by the step down test on
RWIB
3
Pump Test 1/20-27/03
