ENTRY OBJECTIVIES Remove surface (concrete/asphalt), fence in area to be excavated.
Excavate with backhoe to estimated depth of 22 feet below surface Dewatering of excavation
to be conducted by Western Geo-Engineers Excavation will proceed in levels First level to 10
feet below surface, screen excavation floor and sidewalls with PID Check for seepage of
groundwater Place pump into RIB well, start dewatering formation. Excavate to 12 foot
depth Check for water seepage. Dig dewatering trench near former well MW1 to 20 foot
depth. Start dewatering. Excavate to 20 foot depth. Screen excavation sidewalls and floor
with PTD. Sample as necessary. Check for seepage. Determine if excavation can proceed. If
can, excavate dewatering trench near MW I location to 30 foot depth, start dewatering.
Excavate as able to 30 foot depth Once excavation has been completed backfill excavation
with clean 114" subrounded pea gi avel to 10 foot depth. Place geofabric over pea gravel and
then compact backfill in 2 foot lifts clean road base to surface subgrade. Resurface with 4 inch
think asphalt.
SITE ACTIVITIES:
1 Health and Safety tailgate meeting
2 Construct soil stockpile area on-site
3 Remove surface asphalt and concrete
4. Fence in area to be excavated to prevent general public from access
5 Start excavation to 10 foot depth, stockpile excavated soil on stockpile pad.
6. Start dewatering formation, pump to 21000 gallon Baker Tank, and discharge through 4 in
series water carbon units prior to discharge to sewer at a rate not to exceed 10 gpm.
7. Sample excavation as necessary for San Joaquin County Health oversite
8 Continue excavation and dewatei ing to approximately the 30 foot depth or until situation
deems the excavation is no longer leasable
9. Backfill excavation with clean pea gravel to 10 foot depth.
10. Place geofabric over pea gravel
I I Compact backfill in 2 foot lifts clean road base to subgrade
12. Perform compaction tests
13. Resurface excavated area with 4 inch thick hot patch asphalt
14 Clean site
15.
