COLLECTION AND CERTIFIED ANALYSES OF GROUNDWATER SAMPLES
WEGE personnel collected quarterly groundwater samples from seven monitor wells at
the site on April 15, 2004 See Appendix A for QAJQC, details, methods, procedures,
abbreviations, and acronyms used in sampling and analysis
Following depth to water measurements, WEGE used a truck mounted electrical
submersible (Rech Flow 2) adjustable speed pump and dedicated 5116 inch diameter
polyethylene tubing to purge each well of three volumes of water and until the water
parameters, pH, conductivity and temperature stabilized
Purging was conducted at pump rates adjusted to prevent the wells from being drawn
down more than 20% of their original well volumes Dedicated polyethylene tubing was
used for filling two 40 ml VOAs, with no headspace, from each well The VOAs
contained 0 5 ml HCl acid as a preservative
The samples were delivered with accompanying chain of custody documentation to KIFF
Analytical LLC (DHS certified #2236) The laboratory analyzed the water samples from
each monitor well for concentrations of TPH-G, BTEX and the five oxygenants using
EPA method 8260B, see Appendix C -Laboratory Report
• DISPOSITION OF WASTEWATER
Groundwater purged during the April 15, 2004 sampling of the monitor wells was
processed through 4, in series, water carbon units, a sample of the treated water was
obtained This water (115 gallons) was temporarily contained on-site in a 250 gallon
poly tank Sample results showed this water could be discharged to the sanitary sewer, it
was discharged to sewer on May 19, 2004, see May 2004 Sewer Discharge Report,
Appendix D
RESULTS OF QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING
GROUNDWATER GRADIENT AND FLOW DIRECTION
A-ZONE- 1876.4ND 1856 COUNTRY CLUB BOULEVARD
Figure 4A uses the new survey elevations supplied by Kjeldsen, Shnnock &Keudeck, Inc
survey dated May 1, 2001 Figure 4A shows the groundwater elevation gradient and now
direction detennhned from depth to water measurements at the four on-site monitor wells
and the two off-site cluster wells MW6A and MW7A The current groundwater gradient
shows a flow direction to the northwest at a gradient of 0 0015 ft/linear ft (MW5 to
Sanchez MW6A)
5 Sanchez QM 2nd 2004
